Ben Chaplin’s dad is named Man of the Match for his massive delivery assist to Leah Mitchell!
As many of you know, the ITFC-NASC raises funds to sponsor a player on the women’s team every year. We think it is a fantastic way to stay connected to the teams and to give back to the club we love so much.
Leah Mitchell, who signed her first pro deal with Ipswich Town over the summer, has been the recipient of the NASC’s sponsorship for the last two seasons.
The new board has made it a priority to make high-quality merchandise available to NASC members via the website and as such, wanted to hand off a few items to Leah.
The merch took quite the circuitous route to get to Leah. Club Secretary Jeff Stalnaker produced the gear and had it shipped to Kansas City. He then shipped it from KC to a hotel in Atlanta, GA where it was picked up by NASC Club Chairman Ben Chaplin. Ben then handed it off to a colleague of his who flew with it in his bag to Norwich (What do we think of Norwich…?). Ben’s co-worker then handed it off to Ben’s dad Michael who drove it from Essex to Playford Road in Ipswich and handed it off to Leah.
The lovely photo says it all. SO happy we finally got some things to Leah and we hope she wears that hoody proudly. We couldn’t be happier to be able to sponsor such a fine player and human being.
